Earlier this year, we got the pleasure of working with a wonderful bride who envisioned a beach themed wedding. Her colors were ivory, tan, accents of teal and we incorporated sand and shells. This wedding turned out gorgeous! Her bridal bouquet was made up … Continue reading
Recently I had the honor to do the flowers for an old friend of mine. His lovely new bride had some fabulous taste mixed in with a DIY vision that created a warm and bright wedding! With her bridal bouquet full of peonies, dahlias, tulips and roses it was an explosion of color that took my breath away!
The jasmine vine and wildflower greens were my favorite accent to these beautiful flowers!
Her bridesmaids wore a bright coral color dress so we decided to tone down their bouquets and stick to neutral colors. Ivory dahlias, stock, roses and some bright tulips made these bouquets fabulous!
Looking at their bouquets up close and personal really helps you to see the fabulous colors and textures in these little beauties!
For their ceremony, an arch provided by the venue was decorated in natural vines, curly willow and these amazing flowers!
I loved the way this arch turned out! So pretty right!? Loving the hanging amaranthus!!
The DIY can be clearly seen by these adorable mason jars the bride provided for her centerpieces!
Their wedding cake was so cute with the burlap boarder and “K” topper. Only a couple of blooms were needed to tie it all together!
Once again, Congratulations to the happy couple! So thankful that I was able to be part of your special day!!
Purple. Purple. PURPLE!!!
It seems that 2012 was all about the color purple and weddings all over were blowing it up!
Here are a few of our favorites from last year.
This bride loved purple and let us incorporate shades of maroon and fuchsia to really add a great contrast with the purple Orchids and lavender roses. I absolutely LOVE all the purple orchids in this wedding!! A beautiful bouquet for a GORGEOUS bride!!
Have I told you I love orchids? These purple mokara orchids were incredible! I want to scream with joy when I look at these boutonnieres!!
An elegant and eye-catching arrangement for the check in table. The purple hydrangea was insane! Love the dusty miller and curly willow.
For another purple wedding of ours, we got to incorporate the blue tones. Adding peacock feathers to the mix for that cherry on top effect!
The purple, which look like a bright blue, anemone’s are one of my favorites and really popped in these bouquets!
We incorporated maroon in this wedding. To help save on cost, because we all have a budget, (and I probably shouldn’t be telling you, oops) we substituted maroon carnations (Yeah, I said it. Carnations.) for a few dahlia’s and BOOM you still have a beautiful centerpiece and nobody knows, except you. So hush! Haha
Centerpieces: if they aren’t tall, their considered short. I’ve already posted about the Big Guys (http://sevenstemsblog.com/2012/03/27/the-big-guys/) so now I’m going to mention the short guys. They are definitely easier to make and economically friendly. If you are on a budget, or want … Continue reading
