Trend Spot: Bright Blooms

bright_blooms

With Spring in full swing we’ve had our eye on a hot trend: Bright Beautiful Blooms!!

We adore this look, especially when the weather warms up. Don’t be afraid of color! Be bold! And let us get to work.

This sweetheart table has the perfect balance of mixed metals, eclectic votives and a lush centerpiece. Eucalyptus green foliage filled, surrounded with a variety of dahlias, garden roses, and spray roses , organically shaped, topped off this urn perfectly.

Our recent Bride’s have taken this Spring look to the next level. With a fresh color palate, and rich, saturated blooms. We are literally eating up this trend.

Simplicity can make a huge impact, just look at this fabulous arch, adorned with coral peonies, blush garden roses and hanging amaranthus.

Bouquets are such a huge part of your  Big Day and this one deserved a standing ovation, it is absolutely gorgeous! Vibrant pinks popped against the ivory and blush. Such a fresh spring look!

One of our all time favorite’s is Kat’s Jaw Dropper bouquet. Filled with coral harm peonies, poppies and sherbet dahlias, HEAVENLY.

We think incorporating color throughout adds so much fun to your space, and demands your guest’s attention. For this wedding we wanted lots of color with gold and cream accents. Sundrop Vintags Rentals has the most amazing collection of  vintage glass goblets, of course we needed to have every color! To keep things from being over whelming we had each table in the same color scheme. Giving the off the tropical modern vibe while staying cool.

Trust us, you want texture, you want variety and NEED color!

We loved how Melissa & David weren’t afraid to take color to the next level. Opting for whimsical bright colors for their carnival themed wedding. The bright dahlias, stock, pin cushions and roses against the ivory hydrangea really made things pop!

When choosing blooms for your big day, keep things bright, and full of texture with a neutral base. Giving you that bold look while not getting lost in all the pretties. We loved springing for bright colors, it truly makes an impact! So excited to see what the Summer will bring 😉

Let’s talk arches. Not all arches are created equally. Check this beauty out.08.15 Marc & Michanne_Wed-215

Adorn with roses, dahlias, airplants, succulents and draping with silver dollar eucalyptus and green amaranthus, this arch is by far one of our faves. The deep blush and pop of coral added a dramatic and romantic element to their ceremony.08.15 Marc & Michanne_Wed-214

Two words: Table Decor. We love a good tablescape. With a navy as a back drop, mismatched settings, and custom wine glasses, guests were more than impressed.08.15 Marc & Michanne_Wed-319

Mixed table top decor is a must when you have a large guest count, keeps it fresh, fun and grabs everyone attention to details.

How pretty was the couples sweetheart table? We loved the gold leather Mr&Mrs. The modern chairs truly popped of the rustic reclaimed wood table. Such a great combo.08.15 Marc & Michanne_Wed-434

Bringing Sexy Back

sextback2

We’ve had some stop you in your tracks, gorgeous brides. But lets face it, the boys these days are taking the “Groomed” look to another level. From California Casual to GQ esque suits, our Grooms prove that style is just as important to the boys.

0031Michelle_Richard_pf.jpg

Long gone are the days of the oversized suit. Grooms  are bringing their own to the” Big Day”. From dark denim + suspenders to classic black and everything in between, the only rule to follow when searching for the perfect groomed look, is to make sure your personality shines through.

0011Rachel_Dustin_pf

One of our favorite looks is Dustin’s subtle plaid coat paired with black slacks & camel shoes. Totally fresh! This allows him to showcase his funky style while still letting the Bride shine. Love.

Derek was one who knew what look he wanted, and he knocked it out of the park. A dark charcoal suit + thin tie + pocket square = HOT! There really is nothing better than a fitted suit, especially in a timeless color. Done & done.

Talk about  bringing style to the big day. These grooms did just that with a fun tie + wingtips. Classic meet funky. You’re welcome.

Another way to stand out is to wear a color, no boring black here. Karim and his guys went with a deep navy suite and purple accents. They had me at Hello.

Diana&Karim(90of663).jpg

We couldn’t have a groom style post without showing the classic fitted black suit + bow tie. Timeless & oh so chic.

Whatever your big day style may be, make sure it’s truly yours. It’s a recipe sure to make her fall in love all over again.

Mission Basilica

What’s more timeless than classic whites, blushes and navy? NOTHING! Now pair that with the breath taking backdrop of Mission San Juan Capistrano.  And you’ve literally found the perfect wedding!

You know when you see two people just SO in love you can just feel it? That’s Jeannie & Chris. Two people destined for love. Jeannie and I met over Chai for some good girl talk, oohing and ahhing over her beautiful custom ring, that stud muffin fiance of hers and wedding planning. Did I mention The Chair? It is my very favorite, I am serious, you need one. Make a day of it, swing by the local gem of a coffee shop, Hidden House Cafe.  Grab one and walk over and tour The Mission. You wont regret it! Ok, back to these love birds, Jeannie wanted an everlasting romantic feel with some added bling. We went with luscious blooms, peonies, garden roses, hydrangea and topped it off with some perfect white phalenopsis orchids. DREAM come true!

0011Jeannie_Chris_f

The Ceremony was full of tradition, beauty and history. Be prepared to pick your jaw up off the floor, it’s ok, we wont judge you.

0027Jeannie_Chris_f

The traditional Catholic ceremony was full of meaning for the couple. But really, we can’t get over how gorgeous the chapel was!

0039Jeannie_Chris_f

The Mission is a breathe taker, not only for what it represents but the insainly beautiful backdrop it provides over time. I am serious when I say, The Mission is my favorite location. The images are always breathtaking.

0040Jeannie_Chris_f

I cant even handle what a picture perfect couple they are, he’s tall and handsome and she’s drop dead gorgeous!! Jeannie kept it simple with an ivory satin fit + flare dress with beaded details and Chris in his GQ, slim cut navy suit.

0005Jeannie_Chris_f

Seriously, how are they not on a cover of a magazine?

The dinner party was held at the one and only St. Regis. Keeping with their classic and traditional style, their decor was simply stunning! With blush blooms in clear glass and towering centerpieces, the tables were sparkling. Dozens of tea lights and candles set the romantic tone for the evening.

The blooms add just the right touch, to an already perfect cake. Sweet, romantic, and timeless. The details always set the tone.

0049Jeannie_Chris_f

When it’s everlasting love, ordinary just wont do. Romantic, dreamy, and just the right amount of luxe. Jeannie + Chris are a perfect 10.

Colorful Wine Country Destination Wedding

K+A_BannerImage@sevenstemsKat + Andrew were SO much fun to work with. Being in Texas, they were planning a destination wedding, and what better place to plan one than in San Diego’s own wine country? Temecula is known for its gorgeous year round weather, and perfect pallet for design. Making each wedding unique.

Kat + Andrew _ Vera In August Fine Photography-91

The couple wanted to keep things classic with tones such as ivory, creams and blush with pops of color. We went with coral, hot pink and rose gold. With peonies being the bride’s favorite, we knew this color palette would be the perfect match.  Making  Ponte Winery stand out and a match made in heaven.

A vintage chandelier adorn with bright blooms set the tone during the ceremony, and white hobnail jars rounded the look nestled along the aisle, creating a classy yet rustic feel.

WeddingAlter@SevenStems

You can never go wrong with mixed length dresses, especially in blush tones. This is definitely one of my favorite looks.

Kat + Andrew _ Vera In August Fine Photography-488

Geronimo balloons are my absolute most loved detail to incorporate. And the ladies over at Paper Fox LA created a custom garland from our color palette. RAD!

Kat + Andrew _ Vera In August Fine Photography-357

K+A_Balloons@StevenStems

Keeping with our seamless look and fun details, the tablescapes were kept subtle with pops of bright pinks and oranges.  The head table didn’t disappoint with LOVE all around.

This dessert display took the party to a whole new level! Sprinkles cupcakes, Cakes to Celebrate and Botegga Louie macaroons, in rich jewel tones topped off the night! Yes, please!

K+A_Sprinklecupecakes@sevenstems

With the bride and groom being together for over 10 years (OMG!) before tying the knot, this wedding was the perfect way to show how fun love can truly be.

Our theme flowers used consisted of: white hydrangea, roses, kale, air plants, phalaenopsis orchids, pin cushions, rosemary, hyacinth, and silver dollar eucalyptus. Scattered throughout our display were bud vases filled with these simple blooms.

We had a great time at the Spring Launch party and I hope you enjoyed looking through all our hard work!

Thank you so much to everyone who helped make our display the beautiful creation it was!

We couldn’t have done it without you!!

Annie and Scott: A NYE Celebration!

This past New Year’s Eve was spent celebrating a lovely couple, Annie and Scott. Having a NYE wedding requires bling, and they nailed it! This DIY bride went above and beyond the call of duty to incorporate her lovely creations of manzanita centerpieces with our luscious purple and white arrangements. Enjoy and be inspired!

Annie’s bridal bouquet was all white, and her bridesmaids had purple and lavender tone bouquets that were absolutely adorable, vibrant and screamed NYE!!

Scott’s boutonniere was a white ranunculus accented with seeded eucalyptus and dusty miller. It was wrapped with white ribbon and a touch of Bling. It looked SO good!!

The rest of the bridal party had a lavender rose boutonniere’s accented with seeded eucalyptus and dusty miller leaves. Wrapped with plum ribbon.

The couple got married in a sweet little church in La Jolla with a reception that followed at the Cuvier Club.

Annie wanted a “Winter Wonderland” bouquet with some sparkle, we added Bling to this Peony and ranunculus filled bouquet and topped it off with a rhinestone ribbon.

MARVELOUS!

The sweetheart table was accented with petals and the Bride & Grooms initials. The linen alone is outstanding, a beautiful combination overall!

The reception area was decorated with chandeliers, crystals, purple flowers and manzanita trees: it was ready to celebrate!

Here are those DIY centerpiece containers I was talking about earlier, the talented bride crafted these boxes of manzanita branches adorned with a crystal ribbon. She knocked it out of the park with these!!

Keeping with the “Winter” theme we spray painted all the curly willow silver with a touch of glitter. Filling each vase with purple and white hydrangea, lavender roses and purple dahlias with hanging green amaranthus.

A cupcake tower taller than me, I can dig it! A flower topper with crystal initial’s adorned the top of their gorgeous cake. And how happy are they!!? TOO CUTE!

By the looks of it, the guest enjoyed ringing in the New Year with Annie and Scott, and you’d be crazy not to! Cheers to the lovely couple!
