Embracing Winter

EmbracingWinter_BannerImage

While we LOVE planning and floralizing weddings there is something special about styled shoots.  Maybe its the freedom in design, or coming together with vendors you have yet to work with. Either way, they’re even better when we do them with friendors. We LOVED being able to squeeze this one in with Abby, from Blissfully Illuminated Fine Art Photography. Before her journey to Ireland in 3 weeks. We were at coffee two weeks prior, you know daily convo. kids, husbands, Brides and the ooh we should do a shoot! In Lake Arrowhead, YES! We grabbed our kids, husbands and headed up the mountain for a day of creating, designing and fun! We decided on two looks, one crisp white winter and the other a warm rich marsala and rose gold. Welcome to our Love Elevated.

So, here is our 1st look, creams, ivory, silver accents and lots of organic greenery. Could not be more in love!

As always Petals and Stones added just the right amount of treasure to our beautiful Bride.

During the shoot, Heather and I spotted this little gem and had to add a Ceremony site. Surrounded in a variety of greens, we knew we could make it something worth while. The simplistic greens paired with the glass orbs, was pretty magical.  And the cross, well that was the jackpot! Between Heather balancing on the rail, me hunting greens, 5 kids running wild and The Mr. trying to keep the candles lit, it was a pretty awesome day.

Annnnd here is look 2, ENJOY!

This look makes our heart skip a beat. Chic, subtle details, rich colors. Baby, we don’t mind the cold when this styled shoot warms us up!

Can we please talk about her dress? A touch of Kate Middleton with a hint of Pippa! I mean you can’t go wrong with back detail like that. LOVE. The “groom” holds his own in a casual understated vest with jeans. Perfect California dressy.

Blush and marsala are a match made in Heaven. I adore this combo. Add a rose gold leaf brooch to top this beauty off , perfection!

Naturally, this blushing bride is smitten with Rose Gold pieces from Petals and Stones 2016 collection. Her loose up-do hairstyle created by Beauty and the Beach with the hair comb was an absolute show stopper. You need these girls on your team asap.

Colorful Wine Country Destination Wedding

K+A_BannerImage@sevenstemsKat + Andrew were SO much fun to work with. Being in Texas, they were planning a destination wedding, and what better place to plan one than in San Diego’s own wine country? Temecula is known for its gorgeous year round weather, and perfect pallet for design. Making each wedding unique.

The couple wanted to keep things classic with tones such as ivory, creams and blush with pops of color. We went with coral, hot pink and rose gold. With peonies being the bride’s favorite, we knew this color palette would be the perfect match.  Making  Ponte Winery stand out and a match made in heaven.

A vintage chandelier adorn with bright blooms set the tone during the ceremony, and white hobnail jars rounded the look nestled along the aisle, creating a classy yet rustic feel.

You can never go wrong with mixed length dresses, especially in blush tones. This is definitely one of my favorite looks.

Geronimo balloons are my absolute most loved detail to incorporate. And the ladies over at Paper Fox LA created a custom garland from our color palette. RAD!

Keeping with our seamless look and fun details, the tablescapes were kept subtle with pops of bright pinks and oranges.  The head table didn’t disappoint with LOVE all around.

This dessert display took the party to a whole new level! Sprinkles cupcakes, Cakes to Celebrate and Botegga Louie macaroons, in rich jewel tones topped off the night! Yes, please!

With the bride and groom being together for over 10 years (OMG!) before tying the knot, this wedding was the perfect way to show how fun love can truly be.

Champagne & Chandeliers

Champagne and Chandeliers was hosted by the Coronado Marriott, to celebrate 2014. Yes I’m totally late posting this, but I think worth the wait. We were lucky enough to be apart of the planning and design process. The oh so talented, True Photography was behind the camera and captured the night seamlessly. Coronado Island is the perfect getaway, If you haven’t been, take the day off, disconnect and get down there! You should definitely consider your next event here. It has the “Destination Wedding” vibe without the price tag. lol

I can’t even handle how gorgeous the entrance was, paired with the winter night and up lighting, it was a match made in heaven!

0023Marriott  Cocktails on the pier kicked off the night with the gorgeous city backdrop. 0022Marriott

The tent was completely transformed into this amazingness, it’s ok to stare, seriously, we get it.

With design this immaculate, I think simple and clean is the route to take. Simple florals were scattered throughout the event.

Exquisite Bouquets, The fashion show!

Not only did we create for The Exquisite Launch Party, we were invited to participate in their fashion show we said, “YES!”

The lovely ladies walked around the Launch Party wearing some gorgeous wedding gowns and carried our custom bridal bouquets. Each one in a different style to show variety and cater to every type of bride.

Ombre is must! We went from the pale tones to hot pink all while keeping it romantic with a touch of silver dollar eucalyptus.

Not all brides gravitate towards the blush tones, so for this next bouquet we used dark purple and burgundy tones accented with ti leaves. Using purple hydrangea, black calla lilies, roses, dianthus and dahlias. OoOH lala!

EW Event_SS-030

I’ve noticed a lot of brides are leaning towards an earthy more organic approach to weddings. And this bouquet screams all that! Made of natural green foliage, curly willow, parrot tulips, cotton, succulents and garden roses. Simply stunning!

EW Event_SS-031

And last, but not least, our peach dream team. A gorgeous flower crown accompanied by a matching sherbert colored bouquet. Using Juliette garden roses, dahlia, parrot tulips, roses and freesia. Perfection!!

EW Event_SS-033

As always, it was a pleasure to design and create these unique bouquets, I hope you find something that inspires you to think outside of the box and go big with your own bouquet!

Our floral arch was displayed on a pallet wall Marisa built and stained herself (that little carpenter!) and can be used at either a ceremony site, sweetheart table or cake display backdrop.

EW Event_SS-024

Our theme flowers used consisted of: white hydrangea, roses, kale, air plants, phalaenopsis orchids, pin cushions, rosemary, hyacinth, and silver dollar eucalyptus. Scattered throughout our display were bud vases filled with these simple blooms.

We couldn’t have done it without you!!

Annie and Scott: A NYE Celebration!

This past New Year’s Eve was spent celebrating a lovely couple, Annie and Scott. Having a NYE wedding requires bling, and they nailed it! This DIY bride went above and beyond the call of duty to incorporate her lovely creations of manzanita centerpieces with our luscious purple and white arrangements. Enjoy and be inspired!

Annie’s bridal bouquet was all white, and her bridesmaids had purple and lavender tone bouquets that were absolutely adorable, vibrant and screamed NYE!!

Scott’s boutonniere was a white ranunculus accented with seeded eucalyptus and dusty miller. It was wrapped with white ribbon and a touch of Bling. It looked SO good!!

The rest of the bridal party had a lavender rose boutonniere’s accented with seeded eucalyptus and dusty miller leaves. Wrapped with plum ribbon.

The couple got married in a sweet little church in La Jolla with a reception that followed at the Cuvier Club.

Annie wanted a “Winter Wonderland” bouquet with some sparkle, we added Bling to this Peony and ranunculus filled bouquet and topped it off with a rhinestone ribbon.

MARVELOUS!

The sweetheart table was accented with petals and the Bride & Grooms initials. The linen alone is outstanding, a beautiful combination overall!

The reception area was decorated with chandeliers, crystals, purple flowers and manzanita trees: it was ready to celebrate!

Here are those DIY centerpiece containers I was talking about earlier, the talented bride crafted these boxes of manzanita branches adorned with a crystal ribbon. She knocked it out of the park with these!!

Keeping with the “Winter” theme we spray painted all the curly willow silver with a touch of glitter. Filling each vase with purple and white hydrangea, lavender roses and purple dahlias with hanging green amaranthus.

A cupcake tower taller than me, I can dig it! A flower topper with crystal initial’s adorned the top of their gorgeous cake. And how happy are they!!? TOO CUTE!

By the looks of it, the guest enjoyed ringing in the New Year with Annie and Scott, and you’d be crazy not to! Cheers to the lovely couple!

Pretty in Pinks!

Pink is such a beautiful color. There are so many different directions you can go with it: soft, bright, light, ombre’, fuchsia… the possibilities are endless! Pink and peonies were the only requests we had for our recent wedding. The Bride was working with us all the way from Texas. Yes, Texas! Having a destination wedding at the beautiful, Pacific Edge Hotel in Laguna Beach. With no real specific requests, this left room for the imagination (my favorite!) and this is what we came up with.

The beautiful Bride, Ellen was accompanied by her three junior bridesmaids. Their bouquets were full of pink ranunculus, stock, dalias, freesia, garden roses, spray roses and dusty miller. GORGEOUS!

How sweet is this picture!! Moms are the best! 🙂

Ellen was such a happy bride and it’s magnified in this picture!
