Boho Rehearsal Picnic

boho

We love a good styled shoot. Not only are we able to work with our fav vendors (shout out to our besties!), but were able to be super creative and help brides think outside of the box, ahem, restaurant in this case. Me being 8 and half months preggo and about to pop, I wanted to get one last shoot in with great vendors. Almost like a baby moon, but for the wedding obsessed.

La Jolla is know for it’s breath taking views & amazing weather. We wanted to take a break from ordinary and go for a rehearsal dinner OUTSIDE. Keeping things relaxed, laid back, and fun.Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Duo_Seven Stems 30

With floor seating, and mismatched table wear, our rehearsal picnic is what Boho Chic dreams are made of. All under the stars and market lights. Letting the party flow with some glow. SD Social Lights rocked this set up as usual. Thanks Boys!

Creating a look this effortless is easy when you get great rentals, like we did from Lauren Sharon Vintage Rentals. Add in some great decor, like lanterns, candlesticks, amber glass,  mixed metals and of course our favorite, perfect blooms! Our base colors were brown, tan, blus, and creams. Giving us the freedom to add pops of colors throughout without getting lost. This created a beautiful flow that we absolutely adore.

Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Duo_Seven Stems 54

Opting for floor seating meant taking our table to the next level. Plush comfy pillows surround our perfect tablescape. Mismatched place settings set upon lush greenery. Done & Done.

Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Duo_Seven Stems 73

Candles, votives and blooms completed the bohemian vibe.

Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Duo_Seven Stems 62

Eucalyptus and ferns, created a runner, accented with blooms, gave us the perfect balance.

Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Duo_Seven Stems 107

Our girls at Petals & Stone provided all our models accessories. We cant get enough of her hair piece. Or our model, how gorgeous she!?

Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Duo_Seven Stems 87

Our favorite part of the shoot was the photo backdrop. Part macrame dream catcher, part photo op, 100% RAD!

Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Duo_Seven Stems 53

When talking parties, you can’t forgot the dessert. What’s a party without it? Our cake from Sweet Cheeks Baking Company, surely didn’t disappoint. With it’s square shape and adorable cactus detail, and macrame details, we were in love!

When planning your rehearsal or bridal brunch, use the moment to take a break from formal and get outside!

Charmingly Chic Estate

CHARMINGLY_CHIC_V2

Weddings are super fun and full of love. But these two radiate love and happiness. Maybe it was their ear to ear smiles or stealing quick looks, but these two couldn’t keep their hands off each other. Just the way we like it!

Chelsea + Scott’s wedding truly warmed our hearts. Seeing a mother’s love for her son and a father’s love for his daughter blend together in one day is truly a magical moment.

chealsea2

From her amazing dress to her perfect bouquet full of dahlias to their seemingly effortless ceremony, Chelsea + Scott’s wedding was one our faves. We loved how their ceremony + reception all took place at her families Fallbrook Estate. The home was beyond beautiful and it was nestled in the s mountains surrounded with ridiculous views. This kept things super intimate.

thumb_163A0344_1024

Chelsea had a vision of “Rustic chic” mixed chairs with accents of black, white and taupe.  Lauren Sharon Vintage Rentals and Design, helped create the perfect space. Creating an effortless rustic look for the day. A clean color palette of black, ivory & cream kept things clean and simple. Perfect.

thumb_IMG_1344_1024

Having a solid color scheme and natural wood, gives the space an eclectic feel without being over whelming. Don’t be afraid to mix it up.
thumb_IMG_1321_1024

thumb_IMG_1311_1024Chelsea is a DIYer. She nailed each project with time to spare, all signage, tassels even the centerpieces! She is Superwoman.thumb_IMG_1361_1024

There’s always a little chuckle when we go over the Timeline, on  how little time the guys need to get ready. Scott won the award. The guys played golf all day and were onsite 1 hour till Ceremony, took 20 minutes to get ready. Literally! With time to spare. We caught them enjoying the calm before the storm. Guys are so lucky!

thumb_163A9416_1024We just love Scott & and his dudes rocked simple gingham shirts paired with slacks and vests. Such a fresh look.thumb_163A9378_1024

We went with our favorite local boothers,  Mobile Photo Booth. Fun, vintage, and pretty booths. Yep, I said it, pretty and their booths are just that. If you haven’t checked them 0ut, you need to. They are always smiling, have the best vibes and make the booth more than just a booth.

thumb_IMG_0083_1024

Props like mustaches and giant lips never disappoint.

thumb_IMG_0079_1024

thumb_IMG_0077_1024

We designed the bouquets in blush and ivory tones, with lots of textured greens. Adding to the overall design and complimenting the Bridesmaids mixed dresses. Keeping them the same draws attention without competing with the overall look.

This group of ladies have been forever friends, and are gorgeous inside and out.

thumb_163A9612_1024 Their fun antic inspired our next post! We cant wait to share THAT story. Fun. Beautiful. Bridesmaids. thumb_163A9580_1024

The night ended in the way is should, mini pies, cupcakes, cocktails and dancing! Jays Catering never disappoints with all their yummies. Guests had a blast all night!

So. Much. Fun.

From charmingly sweet details to a night full of dancing & laughter Chelsea + Scott’s wedding was epically perfect! All you need is love rings true when you blend the perfect mixture of love, happiness, & family.

Boho Chic

Bohemian. Boho. Organic. Freshly picked. We love it all! There is something about that messy perfect look that captures our hearts. Today’s Bride no longer strives for that perfectly round bouquet. The wilder the better, and we couldn’t agree more. Does it mess with our heads during the creating process? 100%!  Well thankfully San Diego Style Weddings liked our what they saw, and hand-picked our styled photo shoot for their January cover. Pretty AMAZING! The fabulous Temecula Creek Inn provided us the perfect backdrop. Here’s a collection of our favorite shots.

Exquisite Weddings Spring Launch Party

In the beginning of May, Exquisite Weddings Magazine held their annual Launch Party for brides and vendors to come together, show their work and connect in a fun atmosphere. This lavish event is filled with yummy appetizers, treats and beverages alongside great vendors showcasing some of their unique work. It was such an honor to be part of such a great production. {Stay tune for the next post, the fashion show!} Our great friends Chris and Jordan of NEXT TO ME STUDIOS took some amazing shots of our display, we hope you find inspiration for your next event!

Brides who visited our booth received a keepsake, hand crafted boutonniere with a coupon for 15% off your next event. I hope you got one!

Carrie,of Phoebe Street Creative  provided us with her amazing paper goods, designed especially for this event. We highly recommend her for any occasion!

EW Event_SS-037

The sweet and lovely gal at Lauren Sharon Vintage Shop Rentals provided some of her awesome finds to help amp up our display. She has a wide variety of furniture, props, vintage bottles (you name it!) to help expand your theme throughout your next event! Check our Lauren’s awesome collection on her website!

EW Event_SS-023

Our floral arch was displayed on a pallet wall Marisa built and stained herself (that little carpenter!) and can be used at either a ceremony site, sweetheart table or cake display backdrop.

EW Event_SS-024

Our theme flowers used consisted of: white hydrangea, roses, kale, air plants, phalaenopsis orchids, pin cushions, rosemary, hyacinth, and silver dollar eucalyptus. Scattered throughout our display were bud vases filled with these simple blooms.

We had a great time at the Spring Launch party and I hope you enjoyed looking through all our hard work!

Thank you so much to everyone who helped make our display the beautiful creation it was!

We couldn’t have done it without you!!

Pretty in Pinks!

Pink is such a beautiful color. There are so many different directions you can go with it: soft, bright, light, ombre’, fuchsia… the possibilities are endless! Pink and peonies were the only requests we had for our recent wedding. The Bride was working with us all the way from Texas. Yes, Texas! Having a destination wedding at the beautiful, Pacific Edge Hotel in Laguna Beach. With no real specific requests, this left room for the imagination (my favorite!) and this is what we came up with.

The beautiful Bride, Ellen was accompanied by her three junior bridesmaids. Their bouquets were full of pink ranunculus, stock, dalias, freesia, garden roses, spray roses and dusty miller. GORGEOUS!

0031

How sweet is this picture!! Moms are the best! 🙂

0030

Ellen was such a happy bride and it’s magnified in this picture!

0212

0182

The yummy cake was adorned with garden roses, ranunculus, spray roses and a bit of hanging amaranthus. It was fabulous!

This wedding was a fantastic reminder that sometimes, less really is more!

Angela and Tim

October was one crazy month for us. With the purple craze continuing, Angela’s wedding was a breath of fresh air. Don’t get us wrong, we love purple! But we also love a good challenge and here we were able to push our designs to the limit. Angela wanted a romantic feel, full of deep red and burgundy tones, Marisa and I were very excited! Franciscan Gardens in San Juan Capistrano was the perfect venue for this intimate wedding. One of our goals for the flowers is to not only exceed the brides vision, but to enhance the venue and we feel we paired them perfectly.

Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Angela’s bouquet was BIG and BEAUTIFUL! It was full of black baccara roses, burgundy dahlias, black calla lilies, red and burgundy spray roses and burgundy cymbidium orchids. Her flower girl wore a flower crown made of red roses.

0199

Not that this gorgeous bride needed any, but her make up was done by the lovely and talented Melinda Ruiz of Beauty by Melina. If you are still looking for someone to touch you up on your special day, call her!

0311

The boys sported some cute little boutonnieres made of burgundy spray roses and dahlia buds.

How adorable are these little guys!?

0102

The mother’s wore wrist corsages using the themed blooms.

0043

Pictures were taken before the ceremony, at the beautiful Mission. This crew walked through downtown San Juan Capistrano, followed by a mariachi band. A wedding present from the father of the bride.

LOVED IT!!

0449

0442

With everything set in place, guests in their seats; this wedding was ready to begin! Love these barn style gates!

0495

What better way to say “Here comes the Bride”. SO CUTE!

0535

This picture was too sweet to not include, Angela’s father walking her down the aisle.

0553

For their “arch” something non traditional and very touching: a cross! Using theme flowers and curly willow, this cross was absolutely jaw dropping!

0465

Burgundy roses, red roses, red orchids, dahlias and burgundy cymbidiums were just a few of the flowers on this gorgeous cross. We added dark purple hydrangea and trachelium to stay away from adding to the red and pink tones.

0466

The cross was one weekend project we couldn’t wait to construct. It was towering with a height reaching 10ft tall and was stained just the right tone to pop against the flowers. Lets just say this is definitely one of our favorites!

0623

For the reception, rectangle tables where lined up to form a “U” shape around the dance floor. Spread throughout the tables were mercury glass urns filled with these gorgeous flowers.

0461

Keeping with the theme, smaller clusters of flowers were added in addition to the votives and floating candles.

0458

The sweetheart table was full of floating candles wrapped in burgundy petals.

0460

At sunset with all the floating candles in play, this space was STUNNING!

Congratulations Angela and Tim!

0359

A special thanks to Joe Broccardo at Broccardo Photgraphy, Orange County Wedding Photos for capturing all these lovely images!
