Bringing Sexy Back

sextback2

We’ve had some stop you in your tracks, gorgeous brides. But lets face it, the boys these days are taking the “Groomed” look to another level. From California Casual to GQ esque suits, our Grooms prove that style is just as important to the boys.

Long gone are the days of the oversized suit. Grooms  are bringing their own to the” Big Day”. From dark denim + suspenders to classic black and everything in between, the only rule to follow when searching for the perfect groomed look, is to make sure your personality shines through.

One of our favorite looks is Dustin’s subtle plaid coat paired with black slacks & camel shoes. Totally fresh! This allows him to showcase his funky style while still letting the Bride shine. Love.

Derek was one who knew what look he wanted, and he knocked it out of the park. A dark charcoal suit + thin tie + pocket square = HOT! There really is nothing better than a fitted suit, especially in a timeless color. Done & done.

Talk about  bringing style to the big day. These grooms did just that with a fun tie + wingtips. Classic meet funky. You’re welcome.

Another way to stand out is to wear a color, no boring black here. Karim and his guys went with a deep navy suite and purple accents. They had me at Hello.

We couldn’t have a groom style post without showing the classic fitted black suit + bow tie. Timeless & oh so chic.

Whatever your big day style may be, make sure it’s truly yours. It’s a recipe sure to make her fall in love all over again.

Angela and Tim

October was one crazy month for us. With the purple craze continuing, Angela’s wedding was a breath of fresh air. Don’t get us wrong, we love purple! But we also love a good challenge and here we were able to push our designs to the limit. Angela wanted a romantic feel, full of deep red and burgundy tones, Marisa and I were very excited! Franciscan Gardens in San Juan Capistrano was the perfect venue for this intimate wedding. One of our goals for the flowers is to not only exceed the brides vision, but to enhance the venue and we feel we paired them perfectly.

Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Angela’s bouquet was BIG and BEAUTIFUL! It was full of black baccara roses, burgundy dahlias, black calla lilies, red and burgundy spray roses and burgundy cymbidium orchids. Her flower girl wore a flower crown made of red roses.

Not that this gorgeous bride needed any, but her make up was done by the lovely and talented Melinda Ruiz of Beauty by Melina. If you are still looking for someone to touch you up on your special day, call her!

The boys sported some cute little boutonnieres made of burgundy spray roses and dahlia buds.

How adorable are these little guys!?

The mother’s wore wrist corsages using the themed blooms.

Pictures were taken before the ceremony, at the beautiful Mission. This crew walked through downtown San Juan Capistrano, followed by a mariachi band. A wedding present from the father of the bride.

LOVED IT!!

With everything set in place, guests in their seats; this wedding was ready to begin! Love these barn style gates!

What better way to say “Here comes the Bride”. SO CUTE!

0535

This picture was too sweet to not include, Angela’s father walking her down the aisle.

For their “arch” something non traditional and very touching: a cross! Using theme flowers and curly willow, this cross was absolutely jaw dropping!

0465

Burgundy roses, red roses, red orchids, dahlias and burgundy cymbidiums were just a few of the flowers on this gorgeous cross. We added dark purple hydrangea and trachelium to stay away from adding to the red and pink tones.

0466

The cross was one weekend project we couldn’t wait to construct. It was towering with a height reaching 10ft tall and was stained just the right tone to pop against the flowers. Lets just say this is definitely one of our favorites!

For the reception, rectangle tables where lined up to form a “U” shape around the dance floor. Spread throughout the tables were mercury glass urns filled with these gorgeous flowers.

0461

Keeping with the theme, smaller clusters of flowers were added in addition to the votives and floating candles.

0458

The sweetheart table was full of floating candles wrapped in burgundy petals.

0460

At sunset with all the floating candles in play, this space was STUNNING!

Congratulations Angela and Tim!
